A Level 2 EV charger draws 30 to 50 amps continuously. That is a lot of load to add to an existing house, and almost every install starts with the same question: can your current panel actually handle it. We do the load calculation on day one, install the dedicated 240V circuit, mount and commission the charger, and pull the ESA permit so the work is on the record. If the panel needs an upgrade first, we tell you straight up and quote both together.
Often paired with panel upgrades, residential electrical, and energy-efficient lighting. We coordinate the whole job under a single permit when it makes sense.

What’s included
- On-site load calculation to confirm your panel can support the charger
- Dedicated 240V circuit sized to the charger spec (typically 40A or 50A)
- NEMA 14-50 outlet OR hardwired install, your choice or per charger requirements
- Indoor garage, outdoor wall-mount, or pedestal installation
- Conduit run through the garage, wall, or trenched outdoors as needed
- Wi-Fi commissioning of smart chargers (Tesla, ChargePoint, FLO, JuiceBox, and most other Level 2 brands)
- GFCI protection and weatherproofing for outdoor installs
- ESA permit pulled, inspection coordinated, certificate provided
When to call us
- You just bought (or are about to buy) an EV and need to charge at home
- You have been charging on a regular 120V plug and you’re tired of waking up to 40 km of range
- Your dealer or charger manufacturer says you need a 240V circuit installed
- You’re building or renovating and want the EV circuit roughed in before drywall
- You want a hardwired install for a Tesla Wall Connector or similar
How it works
- 01On-site assessment
Brad reviews your existing panel, measures the run to where the charger is going, and confirms the load math. Most assessments take 20 minutes.
- 02Fixed-price quote
You get one number that covers the circuit, materials, permit, and labour. If a panel upgrade is required first, that piece is quoted separately so you can decide.
- 03Install day
Most Level 2 charger installs take a single half-day. We coordinate with you on indoor vs outdoor placement, conduit routing, and breaker location before we start.
- 04ESA sign-off
ESA inspects, the certificate is issued, and you have proper paperwork for your home insurer and any future buyer.
